The Surprise-El Mirage PTA Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing 16 PTA Schools of the Dysart Unified School District and surround community, is hosting its inaugural Walking Together For Youth 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, January 26, 2013. In conjunction with the city of El Mirage, our goal is to make the Walking Together For Youth 5K a premier annual event to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in the lives of our children. Proceeds for this event will sponsor physical education programs in the Dysart Unified School District and extracurricular sports.

The event will feature a 5K race that begins and ends at Riverview Elementary, passing through some of El Mirage’s beautiful neighborhoods. Following the race, we plan to have an awards ceremony for all 1st,2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, and refreshments post-race.

Registration

Early registration is just $15 for children under 18 and $20 for adults and $50 family registration (2 adults-2 children, a $20 savings!) to participate in our 5K. Children under 5 are free.  All pre-registered participants (by Jan 21) will receive a race day t-shirt, race bib and a goody bag as well as entries into our drawings for some fabulous prizes! Day-of registrations will receive a goodie bag and t-shirt based on availability.
